5 Gum - Solstice

First review, yay!  I've been chewing a lot of gum recently, so let's do a gum review! This is the Solstice flavor of 5 gum, which claims to give a warm and cool sensation whilst chewing.  While I didn't get much of the "warm" from the gum, I did get a lot of menthol-y coolness that you expect from minty gum.

Taste: 3/5     It's alright.  Really, it's nothing special.  It tastes a little like mint-chocolate, mixed with Winterfresh.  It's not the best flavor of 5 gum, but it's acceptable.  It's not as sweet as a peppermint, and not as "spicy" as spearmint.  And since it's a sugar free gum, it doesn't make your teeth feel gross, yay!

Length: 4/5     It's what you would expect from mint gum.  The gum has a lasting flavor, but not a strong one.  It's the cool feeling that all minty gums maintain, so it doesn't taste unique after a few minutes.  However, the gum seems to stay soft for a while after chewing, so that is always a plus.

Overall: 3/5  It's fine.  It's o.k.  It's not great, it's not good, but it's not bad either.  I wouldn't buy it again, simply because there are so many other flavors of 5 gum that are superior.  I would recommend the other flavors of 5 gum over this, unless you want to try something different.

  3. Gum is cool, but if done way too much, you run the risk of wearing out your jaw joint.
